Triangle East Chamber of Commerce to Host 2024 State of the Region Event

Smithfield, NC – The Triangle East Chamber of Commerce will host the 2024 State of the Region Breakfast, on September 10, 2024, at the Johnston County Agricultural Center. The event is presented by Lumos Fiber.
This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Walden, William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Extension Economist at North Carolina State University. Dr. Walden, an expert in consumer economics, economic outlook, and public policy, has published eleven books and more than 300 articles and reports. His keynote address, titled "What's the Biggest Issue Facing the Country?" will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
The Annual State of the Region Breakfast is typically a sell out event, so early registration is encouraged as walk-ins will not be accepted.
